Mold Remediation

Physical removal, environmental control, and source correction.

Remediation is a physical process. Affected materials are removed or cleaned under controlled conditions, airborne particulate is managed with filtration, and the moisture condition that produced the growth is corrected or, where correction belongs to another trade, clearly identified in writing.

Containment and environmental controls

  • Work-area containment appropriate to the scope
  • Negative air machines and HEPA filtration where warranted
  • Protection of unaffected areas, contents and egress paths
  • Controlled debris handling and removal

Removal and cleaning

  • Removal of affected porous materials that cannot be reliably cleaned
  • HEPA vacuuming and detail cleaning of structural surfaces
  • Appropriate treatment products applied per the product's labeled instructions
  • Post-work HEPA filtration and area cleaning

Moisture source correction

Remediation is not considered complete on our documentation until the moisture source has been corrected or formally identified with a recommended correction. That may mean waterproofing, drainage, crawl-space work, envelope repair, plumbing repair by a licensed plumber, or an HVAC correction.

Verification and documentation

Before, during and finished photos, moisture readings, scope of work, and completion records are compiled into an organized package. Where third-party verification is required, we coordinate access for the party performing it.

Home Remedies does not provide medical diagnoses. Health concerns should be directed to a qualified healthcare professional.
No process eliminates all spores or particulate from an indoor environment. Our objective is physical removal of affected material and correction of the moisture condition.
