Interim Environmental Management™
A temporary strategy, disclosed as exactly that.
Sometimes the correct work cannot begin immediately. Funding is pending, a claim is under review, a facility cannot be taken offline until a break, or another trade has to go first. Interim Environmental Management™ is a documented set of temporary measures for that gap — and it is never presented as a finished result.
What it can include
- Temporary containment or isolation of an affected area
- Air filtration and environmental controls while the area is in use or idle
- Interim moisture control such as temporary dehumidification
- Surface cleaning of accessible areas
- Scheduled monitoring with documented readings and photos
- A written record of conditions to support the eventual full scope
What it is not
Interim Environmental Management™ is a temporary management strategy. It is not a substitute for correcting moisture sources, and it is not a substitute for full remediation when full remediation is warranted. Every interim engagement is delivered with a written statement of the permanent work that remains outstanding.
Where it is commonly used
Churches, schools, daycares, assisted-living facilities, multifamily buildings and commercial properties that must remain in operation while permanent work is planned, funded or scheduled.
