HVAC & Air-Duct Cleaning

Clean the system that moves air through the whole building.

Duct systems collect construction dust, fibrous debris and, after a water event, whatever was airborne while the system was running. HVAC systems are also a moisture source in their own right — condensate pan failures, uninsulated ducts sweating in humid spaces, and leaks at the air handler.

Two Black Home Remedies technicians in navy uniforms branded HOME REMEDIES on the back and sleeve with navy caps, black gloves and clear safety glasses cleaning a ceiling air duct — the foreground technician standing on an orange fiberglass step ladder and feeding a blue duct-cleaning hose with a rotating brush into the ceiling vent while wearing a half-mask respirator with pink filters, the second technician working at the furnace with silver flexible ducting; a navy Home Remedies HEPA vacuum and a blue Home Remedies duct-cleaning and air-purification machine on protected floor sheeting, with clear plastic containment sealed in blue tape

Scope of work

  • Supply and return duct cleaning using HEPA-filtered equipment
  • Register, grille and boot cleaning
  • Air handler cabinet, blower and accessible coil area cleaning
  • Filter replacement and filtration recommendations
  • Before and after photo documentation of accessible components

HVAC as a moisture source

When we inspect a moisture problem, the mechanical system is part of the investigation. Condensate leaks, sweating duct runs in unconditioned crawl spaces, and oversized equipment that short-cycles without dehumidifying all show up as building moisture problems.

After construction or a water loss

Duct cleaning is often the last step of a construction-dust or post-remediation cleanup, so fine particulate is not redistributed through the building the moment the system restarts.
